The penalty is not applied if the taxpayer:
(1) completes registration with EmaraTax; and
(2) files the first corporate tax return no later than seven (7) months after the end of the first tax period.
For companies with a fiscal year equal to the calendar year, the first tax period is 01.01.2024 – 31.12.2024. The corporate tax is effective from 1st June 2023, but the period is considered a full fiscal year. Accordingly, the deadline for submitting the corporate tax return is 31st July 2025.
Previously paid fines will be refunded if the specified conditions are met.
